Around the Council of Nicaea. Historical-theological context and Eastern reception

ed. Matteo POIANI - Maurizio GIROLAMI

The Council of Nicaea (325) stands as a foundational event in Christian history. Despite the loss of its Acts, its creed and canons continue to shape theology and ecclesial practice. This volume examines the historical context of the Council, its Christological and philosophical debates, and its reception in the Byzantine and Syriac worlds. Bringing together leading scholars, the book offers fresh perspectives on the origins, legacy, and lasting significance of Nicaea.
